7 /8 "User Surveys and Evaluation " The SurveyFinal Draft of the Survey

Following the review of the first draft of the survey, including a run through as a parent may do, it became apparent that we could improve it further than correcting a few simple typos. It asked the same page of answers for each of the different applications. Which on face value seems fairly sensible, but some of the applications are so similar in design and purpose that, while separated for good reasons on the actual console (mainly simplicity and clarity of use), the answers for each would surely be the same, so those could be grouped together. Other improvements included changing a question about the console colour from three rating questions to a multiple option question, and a few other simply to clean up.

These improvements were made and following is the final version of the survey…

FINAL SURVEY

This survey obviously assumes a prior knowledge of the product, its purpose and functionality that the people filling it out won’t have. Hence the following introduction to the product was created…

SURVEY INTRODUCTION

It covers the whole of the product from hardware to software including the parent console interaction as concisely as was deemed practical, as we were trying to avoid forcing a huge volume of reading upon the people who are helping us out by filing out our survey, but we wanted them to know everything they would need in order to give us as accurate and useful answers as possible.

These questionnaires have now been handed out to the market section we have access to and will hopefully be back very soon for review and analysis.
